Our History

Since its foundation in Leigh 130 years ago, by Henry Widdows our firm has a proud tradition of service to the local community.

Over the years, a number of long-established local firms have joined the Widdows family, including:

Masons of Bolton
Martin & Co of Farnworth
Campbells of Wigan and Hindley
Linakers of Warrington and Runcorn
Burton Goodier of Runcorn and
D Hampson & Co of Shevington.

We now operate from seven offices across the North West.

While we are proud of our history and traditions, we believe our business has to be modern, innovative and forward-thinking to meet the needs of 21st Century clients, and have made substantial investments in state of the art computer and telephone equipment.
